The mission of the intellectual property and industry engagement staff who serve ESE is to capture intellectual property and transfer it to industry to create products that benefit US taxpayers and the world. We also engage with industry through formal and informal mechanisms to advance the bioeconomy and ensure that ESE commercialization efforts remain relevant and impactful. Specialized entrepreneurship/intrapreneurship training opportunities and mentoring are designed to encourage innovation within the Biosciences Area, as well as increase spin-outs from Area IP.
