Software
You'll need your Project ID and an approver to make any kind of software purchase.
Berkeley Lab IT provides access to the most commonly used software at the Lab for purchase and download at software.lbl.gov. To access, you will need LDAP Credentials, a Lab Project/Activity, DOE serial number of the computer, or the serial # used to identify the machine, as well as an identified Approver. Each software is purchased individually.
Free: Cisco VPN, Sophos Anti-Virus, iOS employee WiFi config file..etc
Adobe Creative Cloud: Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, .etc
Other software: Snapgene, Chemdraw, Graphpad Prism, BioRender
You can purchase it directly from software.lbl.gov. Have your computer's DOE barcode number (Lab issued computer) or serial number (non-lab issued computer) ready:
Requires an annual subscription to use. Once the year is up, you may be contacted for a PID to recharge the subscription.
If you do not see an option to request for BioRender, send an email to licenses@lbl.gov (and cc the ese-iops@lbl.gov team) requesting access to the BioRender software.

Search for Lawrence Berkeley National Lab in the Subscription Gallery
The first option will be for registering to download the latest version of ChemDraw.
Complete the 'Welcome to User Registration' page and select “Submit” at the bottom of the form.
Revvity will send an activation email
You will be directed to the http://revvitysignals.flexnetoperations.com/ “New User” website where you will need to enter your email address again and provide a new password. (Be sure to record the new password in a safe location for future use).
Once you have signed up, you will be taken to the “List Entitlements" page. Find the row with your most recent order number (Entitlement ID column), and record the Product Activation code associated with that order.
For your current order, select the “Download Now” link in that same row to display the “Download Order” page.
To download the most recent version, click the “New Versions” tab, and select the Download Package link.

When requesting for a computer, you should also request for a Microsoft Office license (Either a standalone or Office365).
If you want to use OneNote as an electronic lab notebook, you'll need an Office365 subscription.
Purchase the MSOffice suite directly from software.lbl.gov. Have your Project ID, Approver, and your computer's DOE number ready:

Snapgene requires an annual subscription to use. Once the year is up, you can renew the license by repurchasing it at the software.lbl.gov site
